| 4/2/2016 to 4/18/2016 We traveled to Texas along the coast from Sabine Woods via Matagorda and Kingsville down to South Padre Island and Brownsville. Then, our trip took us up along the Rio Grande where we tried to pick up some Mexican species. We had a blast in great weather! |
| 4/7/2016 Laguna Atascosa NWR and Sable Palm Audubon Sanctuary, TX: Amazing places and both staffs were so helpful! Couch's Kingbird playing with its food! Plain Chachalaca (loved these guys and what a ruckus they offered in the morning!), Buff-bellied Hummingbird (m), Blue-winged Warbler , Black-crested Titmouse , and Altamira Oriole . |
| 4/7/2016 Laguna Atascosa NWR and Sable Palm Audubon Sanctuary, TX: Golden-fronted Woodpecker , Hooded Oriole (f, 1st year) , Ladder-backed Woodpecker , Long-billed Thrasher , White-tipped Dove , Northern Cardinal (m), and Muscovy Duck (Brownsville area so considered domestic.). |
