9/1-2/12 Khao Yai National Park, Thailand:  A BIG THANKS to Tony and Kay from
www.Thailandbirdwatching.com who guided us on a great 2 day trip to the beautiful National Park about
2-3 hours northwest of Bangkok.  Not only were the birds great (see Asia bird blog pages) but we got to
see wild elephants, monkeys, and deer wandering about.   Very cool place!  Also, a village market in
progress on the return trip.
9/9/12 Ayutthaya, Thailand:  A BIG THANKS to Jackie our driver while in Bangkok. With his excellent
English and knowledge of history, we felt we had a great guide and caring friend as we saw the sights!
The ruins of Ayutthaya cover a huge area with 500 temples (we stopped at various wats) and it was
wonderful to have him show us around.  This was the cradle of old Siam and used to be a seaport.  It was
fascinating!  Also, a floating market we stopped to see (though this was very touristy).
9/3-7/12 Bangkok, Thailand:  A BIG THANKS to Jackie our driver while in Bangkok. He took us to various
parks Lumphini Park, Suan Phuttamonton , Suan Luang , and to the mountains.
