| 8/1/12 Backtracking a bit, here are a few pictures from a business trip to Nagoya, Japan. The fresh flower display was near some shops by the hotel - WOW. Nagoya Castle and museum were visited along with the Botanical Gardens and a beautiful place called Tokugawaen (and the Tokugawa Art Museum). The Castle was impressive and unfortunately mostly destroyed during WWII, though it has since been rebuilt in its magnificence. The Botanical Gardens was delightful (5 pics) and offered some good bird pics, but the gem was Tokugawaen. The garden with its waterfalls was thoroughly enjoyed (twice!) and the museum was exceptional. It is the accumulation of many generations of the Owari Tokugawa Family. |
