| 5/10/2013: Guilin, China: Shown : A Hill Prinia study (often gathering nest material and also a juvenile is shown), Chinese Bulbul +juv.(appearance differs from what we see in Shanghai but doesn't seem to be distinguished as a subspecies), Red-rumped Swallow , and a Vinous-throated Parrotbill with nest material. |
| 5/12/2013: Guilin, China: We went as tourists for the Karst Mountains and caves (see our Tourist Pages) but had our camera ready for any birds: Common Tailorbird , Tiger Shrike , Grey-capped Greenfinch , Chinese Pond Heron , Oriental Magpie Robin singing, Red-whiskered Bulbul , Crested Myna bringing a frog to its nest hole, Forest Wagtail , Fork-tailed Swift , Collared Crow , Great Cormorant (unfortunately used for fishing) Black-throated Tit (ad and juv), Asian Paradise Flycatcher , White Wagtail (juv), Asian Brown Flycatcher , Japanese Whiteeye building a nest , and some domestic ducklings. |
