| 1/6 thru 1/24 2013: Our trip to India started in the beautiful Goa region (1/6-1/12 Click on NEXT PAGE below!) and took us through Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary (1/19-1/21) and on to the Manjira Sanctuary, Hyderabad 1/24). |
| 1/19/2013: Bharatpur, India: Indian Spot-billed Duck , Black Drongo , Black-headed Ibis , Black-winged Kite , Booted Eagle being chased by crows, Chestnut- shouldered Petronia , Collared Scops Owl , one of our favorites: Indian Roller , Grey Heron , House Sparrow (of which we did not see many), and Bar-headed Goose in flight. Lots of other wild animals were in the park! |
| 1/19/2013: Bharatpur, India: We were treated to amazing birds here up-close and most in great light: Yellow-footed Green Pigeon , a Spotted Owlet pair, Rose-ringed Parakeet (m+f), Red-vented Bulbul , Rufous Treepie , Purple Sunbird (juv+m), Plain Prinia , Painted Stork (juvs on nest), and a Knob-billed Duck. |
