| 6/2/2012 Chongming Island, China: Seeing a Pheasant-tailed Jacana was a treat. Also shown: a Little Egret in flight along with an Eastern Cattle Egret study. Also, a Long-tailed Shrike and a Japanese White-eye. |
| 6/8/2012 Shanghai, China: A quick trip to Century Park offered a Common Moorhen who had caught a dragonfly, a juv Black-crowned Night-Heron in flight, and a juv Long-tailed Shrike. |
| 6/9/2012 Hangzhou, China: A morning near the lake offered us some interesting sights. A Striated Heron showed up briefly as did a Hair-crested Drongo (formerly with Spangled Drongo). It was fun to watch distant Little Grebe chicks being carried by their parents and trying to chow down fish bigger than they were. Also shown: Red-billed Blue Magpie , Mallard - female with chicks, and a Vinous-throated Parrotbill. |
