| 12/21/2013-1/2/2014 Darwin, Australia: We had an amazing trip to Australia's Northern Territory. 12/23/13 From Darwin we headed towards Kakadu NP via Howard Springs, Fogg Dam Reserve, Leaning Tree Park, Window on the Wetlands, and the Aurora area where we spent a couple of fabulous days in 104 degree heat: Yellow Oriole with nest, Whistling Kite , Torresian Crow , Sulphur-crested Cockatoo , and a gorgeous Black-necked Stork. |
| 12/21/2013-1/2/2014 Darwin, Australia: We had an amazing trip to Australia's Northern Territory. 12/23/13 From Darwin we headed towards Kakadu NP via Howard Springs, Fogg Dam Reserve, Leaning Tree Park, Window on the Wetlands, and the Aurora area where we spent a couple of fabulous days: Red-tailed Black Cockatoo , Red-kneed Dotterel , Rainbow Bee-eater , Radjah Shelduck , Purple Swamphen , Plumed Whistling-Duck , Pied Heron , Pheasant Coucal , Paperbark Flycatcher , Masked Lapwing , Magpie Goose , Little Corella , Grey Whistler , Green Pygmy-goose (beautiful light), Forest Kingfisher , Dusky Honeyeater , Brolga , and an Australian Grey Teal . A Dingo surprised us but seemed shy and ran off. |
