| 2/12/2011 Brigantine, NJ: A Duck Fest was in progress: With very little open water, a Northern Shoveler took a bath before the camera! Too funny! A Northern Harrier flew by, then we took more ducks: Northern Pintail, Mallard (f), Hooded Merganser (male with fish - he swallowed it whole!), Herring Gull , Common Merganser (f) , Bufflehead , and American Black Duck. A Brant also made a showing. Snow Geese below. |
| 2/12/2011 Brigantine, NJ: A Peregrine Falcon (imm.) was kind enough to sit for a bit. Besides the falcon and ducks, it was a Snow Goose Bonanza on ice - so beautiful! Note the "Blue Goose" (Dark Morph). |
| 2/19+20/2011 Northern and Southern Delaware and Conowingo, MD: Yellow-bellied Sapsucker , White-breasted Nuthatch , Red-bellied Woodpecker (f+m), Bald Eagle building nest , Horned Lark , Northern Flicker , Canada Goose, a brilliant Mallard (no color added!), a wind-swept Norther Mockingbird , and some scenery pics. |
