| 8/10/18: Wandering the back roads of central FL: We came across a Red-headed Woodpecker catching a beetle that may have been too much for it. Also saw two Eastern Kingbirds go after an American Crow. A few sunrises from August, Amelia Island, FL! |

| 8/3-8/6/18: Jacksonville, FL: While we were catching Brown Pelican chicks (growing so fast), we also saw a small Sandwich Tern flock. All the adult members were trying to feed one chick that seemed to be doing well in spite of the excessive attention. The Brown Pelican chicks were playing with each other, grabbing sticks, begging, and flexing their wings. |
