| 4/2/2016 to 4/18/2016 We traveled to Texas along the coast from Sabine Woods via Matagorda and Kingsville down to South Padre Island and Brownsville. Then, our trip took us up along the Rio Grande where we tried to pick up some Mexican border species. We had a blast in great weather! |
| 4/4/2016 Matagorda and Kingsville area, Texas: Scissor-tailed Flycatcher , Lark Sparrow , Northern Bobwhite , Curve-billed Thrasher , Great-tailed Grackle , Hooded Oriole (f,1st year), Golden-fronted Woodpecker (m), Swainson's Hawk , Blue-winged Teal , Bronzed Cowbird (displaying), Redhead , Northern Mockingbird , Red-tailed Hawk , Harris's Hawk , and a Great Kiskadee with beetle. |
