| 2/17-25/2016 A wonderful camping trip took us south to the Everglades National Park, FL. From there, we wandered north via various parks. We caught a Buff-bellied Hummingbird near Homestead, nesting Osprey and a Great White Heron in the Everglades, American Bittern at Green Cay, and hunting Snail Kites at Indian River Wetlands among many other birds. |
| 2/17-25/2016 Castellow Hammock Park, FL: The Buff-bellied Hummingbird (quite a treat!) was there along with a Prairie Warbler , a calling Red-shouldered Hawk , a White-winged Dove , and a number of Ruby-throated Hummingbird individuals . |
| 2/17-25/2016 Merritt Island NWR, FL: A brief stop at the Island yielded a very close look at Roseate Spoonbill . Also: Black Skimmer ,Lesser Yellowlegs , Sanderling , White Pelican , Least Sandpiper , Dunlin , and Lesser Scaup. |
