| 9/6 thru 8/2013 Beidaihe and Happy Island (Bodhi Island). A special thanks to Jean ( bsots@263.net ) for arranging a magnificent trip at the last minute. She knew all the great birding spots - THANKS Jean! We spent a wonderful few days wandering the island birding with basically only the monks for company, stayed in a traditional villa, and ate the most wonderful food! The Temple was on the island and is a new temple augmenting an old established one. One had to admire the art work at the villa. After three nights, we headed back to to the cute tourist town of Beidaihe along the coast to bird some more before heading back to Beijing. |
