5/30/2013-6/2/13: Okinawa, Japan:  A special thanks to Kimio Kanda, our exceptional guide who showed us
around the first morning on the island!  Shown here: Ryukyu Robin (m+f), Pryer's Woodpecker (m+f),
Okinawa Rail , Japanese Whiteeye , Brown-eared Bulbul , and Large-billed Crow.
5/30/2013-6/2/13: Okinawa, Japan: It was a REAL treat to see a Japanese Paradise Flycatcher pair making a
nest in the forest!  They did not seem bothered by us and often zipped close to gather nesting material
or catch a bite.  Unfortunately, the lighting was poor; but we made do!  First, they gathered bits of dried
straw.  They would add to the nest and burrow with their feet making it hollow.  Then, spider webbing was
draped and poked about.  Very fun to watch!  More on Okinawa coming....
