| 1/6 thru 1/12 2013: Our trip to India started in the beautiful Goa region. Santosh Redkar (9881180424) was our wonderful guide near the coast. Thanks, Santosh! Then, we went to the famed Backwoods Camp with Loven as our guide. Thanks, Loven, and the Backwoods camp staff! Loven was an extraordinary birder and the forests around the camp were great! (For more on India click NEXT PAGE below.) 1/8/13 Coastal Goa: White-browed Wagtail , White-bellied Drongo , Western Reef Egret , River Tern , Red-Whiskered Bulbul , Purple-rumped Sunbird , Pin-tailed Snipe , and a Painted Stork study. |

| 1/10 and 1/11 2013: Area in and around the Backwood Camp, Goa, India: quality of images vary as we caught some exciting life birds and some beautiful old friends: Black-hooded Oriole , Ashy Drongo , Black-naped Monarch , Asian Fairy Bluebird (m+f we had never seen a female before), Black-naped Oriole , Bar-winged Flycatcher-Shrike (hm...pick one, oh illustrious namers!), Asian Koel (m+f), Ashy Woodswallow , Black-headed Cuckooshrike , Chestnut-tailed Starling , Chestnut-shouldered Petronia , and a Brown-breasted Flycatcher. |
