| 2/19/2012 Around Shanghai: Mandarin Duck (m+f), and a Baikal Teal. Then at the Gongqing Park: Brambling , DuskyThrush , Grey Wagtail , Eastern Great Tit , a Pallas's Leaf Warbler study (stood in a small flock of them!) , a Pale Thrush (?), the White-rumped Munia gang (they sure love water!), White Wagtail along the banks, and a Yellow-browed Warbler who acted very much like a flycatcher in the hunt. |
| 1/7/2012 From some older files (around Shanghai and including Chongming Island): White Wagtail , a Vinous-throated Parrotbill study, Spotted Dove , Chinese Grosbeak (m+f), Red-flanked Bluetail , Pallas's Reed Bunting , Pale Thrush , Long-tailed Shrike , Little Egret , Gray-backed Thrush , what we believe is a Black-faced Bunting , a male Daurian Redstart , Brambling study , and some Azure-winged Magpies. |
| 3/4+5/2012 A quick trip in the rain to beautiful Hangzhou, China offered looks at a Red-billed Blue Magpie flock. Very cool birds. Also: Long-tailed Shrike , Little Grebe , Elegant Bunting , Brown Crake , Eurasian Blackbird , and Black-crowned Night-Heron . |
