We will post some of our favorite, more recent pictures here first!

| A few more photos from the marvelous Oct 11-12 weekend. A Yellow-rumped Warbler checked us out; a Merlin ignored us as it hunted the marshes. Two accipiters (Cooper's and Sharpie) fought midair while Savannah and Swamp Sparrows and a single Ruby-crowned Kinglet combed the thicket. A lone Pectoral Sandpiper foraged the shore while Ruddy Ducks paddled by. Sunrise was breathtaking as was the mantle of dew shimmering on the seedsprays. | A few misc. photos from Oct 19-24 of a House Finch at Ashland and a hungry Blackpoll Warbler who showed up by our deck in Pike Creek, DE. Our visitor ate 6-7 caterpillars while we watched. Also some DC Cormorants from our last Brigantine trip. |

10/26/08 Ashland Nature Center, DE, was beautiful with its rich fall colors and an early morning mist adding a mystical aura to the hills. The hawks were too distant for pictures so we took some Eastern Bluebirds and a few artsy pics.

11/9/08 A quick trip to the Hockessin Athletic Park, DE found a gorgeous Downy Woodpecker, a Carolina Wren and some Gold Finches nibbling on seeds.

11/24-26/08 Our travels allowed us a break in Florida and we were treated to some great sights. Black- bellied Whistling-Ducks in flight offered us a view while Hooded Mergansers showed off for a little female. It was thrilling to see a Sora and Purple Gallinule feeding along the banks even as a Least Bittern and a Green Heron fished. Osprey flew overhead; White Ibis were roosting. More to come later!
