ASIA for TOURISTS:  We will post our recent landscape pictures here:
(We use little pocket cameras for these photos.)

1/27/2012 Xinzhuang Park is the Plum Blossom gem of Shanghai.  The buds were just about to burst when
we took a look.  While small, the park exuded charm and character with many bonsai and quaint bridges.
1/27/2012 Qibao, Shanghai, China. A pituresque water town in Shanghai with a temple, crowded streets,
and amazing variety at the food stalls.

3/3/2012 Suzhou, China lies less than a 2hr drive to the west of Shanghai.  The leaning Yungyan Pagoda
on Tiger Hill was visited, as was the much smaller Lingering Garden in the city.  Tiger Hill was beautifully
landscaped and their bonsai/rock display was impressive.  Shown are some brave window-washers in the
city, then some scenes from the Lingering Garden which used to be a private home.
3/4+5/2012 Hangzhou, China, lies about a 2 1/2 hr drive to the south of Shanghai.  Some of the pretty
scenes from Xixi Wetlands (first two pics - the place was a bit of zoo), West Lake, and the Jade Emperor
Taoist Temple: the climb was beautiful but hard on the old legs.  Had to take the wedding couple posing!
